The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra releases the final compositions of Bob Brookmeyer

The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra was founded in 1966 by trumpeter Thad Jones and drummer Mel Lewis. Originally called the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, it gave regular Monday night concerts at the Village Vanguard on the edge of Greenwich Village in New York.
