Rich Torrisi, Mario Carbone and Jeff Zalaznick, the group who have taken Italian-American cuisine up a few notches at a trio of restaurants in New York, have abandoned their plan to open Lobster Club, for sandwiches, three doors away from Carbone, their new spot in Greenwich Village.
