Wayne's World: Halloween 'bat fear' thrives, but many real bats die

I know this because, when I was 9, a bunch of us small kids were peeking through, shaking fingers at a Halloween showing of the 1948-released horror comedy "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" .
